Brad and Thomas' Trip to Island Park

Lake Powell

Our dear friends, Henry and Rozanne invited our family to go to Lake Powell with them for a week of fun in the sun!!

Oh Man!!

We had so much FUN!

Brad started off the trip by driving the house boat to where we docked it for the week.

Padre Bay was seriously beautiful!

It reminded me of "The Cliffs of Insanity" from the Princess Bride.

Just with red rock and lots of little lizards.

When we weren't playing in the lake the boys played with Lego's...

and spent lots of time on the Wii!

Tyler got right into the swing of things and went jet skiing.

He could not go fast enough.  

On the flip side Thomas was more of a leisurely rider.

I thought that it would have been just opposite...who knew?

RZ and an apprehensive Zander went out for some fun also.

There was a slide on the boat, and Thomas loved the IDEA of the slide, but when it came right down to it...

he wasn't so sure of the big drop, 

But...

HE DID IT!

Six days of playing can really tucker you out.

Thank you Henry and RZ for the time that we got to spend with your wonderful family, for a vacation of a life time, and for some amazing memories!

BRAVE!

Tyler has spent a lot of this summer getting caught up on all of his doctor appointments.

He was hospitalized five times last school year and missed a total of 43 days.

Needless to say "check-ups" were put on the back burner... so, we decided to see all 9 of his doctors this summer and get all of his 10 year old testing done before 4th grade starts.

This particular day he was having a series of CT scans done.  Sounds harmless right... NOPE!

This was so painful!

Tyler was such a trooper.

He is my HERO!

Tyler has been working really hard over the past year to earn his Bear Scout Award.
