Thomas' Neighborhood Halloween Party

For the last five years we have had a Halloween Party for all of the kids in our neighborhood. The boys and I have a great time planing and throwing this huge party!

We invite all of our friends over for lunch, games, a pinata, and fun on the jump houses!

H1N1 Shots

The very first day that the H1N1 shot were offered in Utah the boys and I drove to Ogden to get vaccinated! I am so glad that we went that day because we were 54th in line of 300 and we only waited one hour. The next day there were people waiting in line at 8:00 in the morning to get the shot at 1:00 pm and they were still turned hundreds of people away!

We took full advantage of a amazingly beautiful autumn night

and went to pick pumpkins with some of our good friends!

The Harvest

We have an apple tree in our back yard and every year I am perplexed with what to do with all of the apples it produces so,

last week I invited several of my friends over for an

Apple Picking Party.

We had hot soup, warm rolls, and apple cider for lunch,

and then picked as many apples as we could out of the tree.

We divided all of the apples up and everyone took as many as they could use.

I wanted to try canning for the first time this year.

It was an amazing learning experience and a total success!

We canned 25 quarts of apple pear sauce

and

51 quarts of apple pie filling
