In 2007 and 2008 the Tolman Community Council Started a literacy program where we invited Realtors in from the community to read to our children at Tolman and to teach them the importance of literacy throughout their lives.
The idea being that when a realtor makes a sell, its not just the house that they are selling, but a home within a community.
Over the two years we hosted about 150 Realtors, and raised several thousand dollars for literacy programs at Tolman.
