I wanted to document Tyler's wound progression.
He was on a wound VAC (the machine pictured above... it is supposed to speed healing.)
for over four weeks and we were just not seeing the healing that we would should have.
Week one.
Week two.
Week three.
Week four.
We decided to take him off of the wound VAC and see if we could
stimulate some cell growth by adding a topical medication.
We were asked to be vigilant about getting extra protein and adding every
fruit and vegetable to his diet that we could get in him.
It was also recommended we stop school lunch and any fast food
(to get rid of all the preservatives).
With in 10 days his wound was CLOSED!!!
It truly is amazing what the body is able to do when it is given what it needs!!!!
Week six.

Absolutely amazing. I do not know Tyler very well, but I can tell he is one strong and special boy.
You are so right. It is incredible what our bodies are capable of when we give them what they need.
