Tyler's 9th Birthday

For Tyler's birthday, Tyler wanted to take his friends up to Mueller Park to have a campfire, play in the river, and roast hot dogs and marshmallows.
When it was dark we came back to our home and opened presents. When I asked Tyler what his favorite part of the party was he answered "I liked all of my presents." This gift was from Grandma Bev. Thank you Grandma!
Grandma Alice came from Boise to celebrate Tyler's birthday. We love it when Grandma comes. This time she brought our cousins Brooklynne and Anna Erickson. It was a very special Birthday.
After presents Tyler wanted to light off FIREWORKS!! It was so cool.

Thomas Gets his First Bike

Thomas was so happy to get his first big boy bike. He rides it to church almost every Sunday.
I love it when he said to me "Mom you have a two wheeler, but I have a FOUR wheeler. So cute!!

Aspen Grove

June of 2008, We spent a week up Provo Canyon at a Family Camp called Aspen Grove.
It was the Edgar and Elizabeth Badger Norman Family Reunion.
It was my Grandma's 100th Birth year, and the perfect reason to celebrate with the whole family!
This is Tyler and his second cousins doing their favorite thing...painting in the craft area.
It was a very active week full of trail running, mountain biking, badminton, swimming, tennis, road biking, yoga, rock climbing, and pottery.

All of the kids split up into their age groups all week long for their own camp experience.
This is Thomas in his "Kittens" group. He is getting ready to rock climb.

Brad and I both did the rock climbing ropes course.

This is an amazing waterfall that we would trail run to.

Brad's Mountain Biking Accident

While out on a mountain bike ride up at Aspen Grove, Brad got in a really serious biking accident.

He split his helmet in five different places, he messed up his shoulder, arm, and his head. We took him to the ER where we were told that he had bleeding on his brain! And that if he would not have been wearing his helmet, then we would be planing a funeral...It was that serious!

It took him several weeks to recover, and he still has a huge scar on his shoulder.
